Lead Curator - Claire Ulenberg

Based in Auckland, Claire brings a fresh approach to the role of lead curator.

With an MA in Art Curatorship, practical experience in working with artists and facilitating exhibitions and a warm and engaging personality, she has what it takes to bring another great public artwork to Hamilton.

Claire currently works as curator for Pierre Peeters Gallery in Parnell.

 

Curator Support - Antanas Procuta

Antanas is Principal Architect at Paua Architects in Hamilton. 

With his knowledge of the city and his longstanding involvement in the art community, Antanas is well placed to support Claire.

Antanas is part of the Riff Raff Public Arts Trust and is an ongoing MESH donor and supporter. 

Paua Architects are part of the sucessful design team whose proposal for Hamiltons Ferrybank precinct has recently been chosen for further development. 

Curator Support - Karl Chitham

Karl is the Director of the Tauranga Art Gallery and has served on many committees and trust boards within the art sector over the past 10 years.

He brings his knowledge of the contemporary art sector, an understanding of the needs of diverse communities and the ability to consider projects from multiple points of view.

Having lived in Hamilton in the past, Karl understands the culture of the city.
